Prayer & Fasting Meditation

Pregnant with a Child

…she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Mathew 1:18b

Today is the first day of our 21 day prayer & fasting exercise and as a network we are thanking God for His Faithfulness and Mercies over us.

We are thanking Him for Birthing this vision over 11 years ago and for Sustaining the Vision.

As we pray, let us also reflect individually.  Are you pregnant with a vision from God? What has the Holy Spirit birthed in you since you became born again?

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35

Since the time of Mary, the Holy Spirit has come over many more of God’s Saints for thousands of years and they have given birth to visions, ideas & ministries that have changed the world.

Today pray and say “Lord, birth a great vision in me by your spirit. Give me a vision that will change my world for you!”

Two things to further note;

  1. Vision cannot only be born of the Holy Spirit it can be born of flesh, of the carnal mind, out of strife and envy or a vain ambition or selfish desire. Pray and ask God to deliver you from such ‘vision’ and reveal to you anything that is not from Him.
  2. Visions from God, like a pregnancy can be aborted through sin, prayerlessness, fear, negligence and carelessness. etc. What have you done to the seed, the vision God planted in you?

Pray, ask Him to forgive you and restore any vision from Him that you might have lost through sin and negligence.

Finally, the Bible says;

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.Luke 2:40

Pray also and ask God not to only birth a vision in you, but to sustain it and cause it to grow strong and become what He wants it to be. That His grace will come upon your walk & your work.

God bless you!
