Prayer & fasting Meditation: Beholding His Glory

Day 12

Prayer Point

Oh Lord, show us your Glory at this 10th edition of the Agents of Change Conference like you have never done before.

Reveal your Supreme, Majestic Presence to us at the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference. Rev 1:9-19

What is the Glory of God? We cannot fully describe it. However, we can say that it is the expression of God’s supreme, majestic self. The Glory of God is revealed in all of His creation, In His mighty acts and power, In His mighty presence, In His Heaven… His dwelling place. And it was ultimately revealed in His Word, Jesus Christ His Son.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Jesus is the ultimate reflection of God’s Glory. When you see Him, you have seen the Glory of God the Father. He is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Hebrews 1:3.

Secondly, when you behold His glory, you cannot be the same again.

Peter saw His glory, He fell down and cried out.

The three disciples saw His glory at the mount of transfiguration, they could not stand on their feet, their lives were changed, and they talked about this experience for the remaining days of their lives.

Saul on his way to Damascus encountered the glory, he saw the majestic glory, in a blazing brightness, he fell down and rose up a different man. His life was never the same.

Again, John the beloved, one of the three disciples while on the Island of Patmos saw Him in His glory, highly lifted up and exalted. His eyes were opened to see what no man had ever seen, to hear what no man had ever heard. Things He struggled to describe, mysteries we are still seeking to understand today.

You cannot behold His glory and not be changed. When you see His Glory like Moses did, you will radiate it. If you see Him you will be changed to be like Him.

Finally, how can we behold his glory today?

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. 1 Cor 3:18

Pray! cry out to him to behold His glory. Ask God to unveil your face, to remove the veil of the flesh that will not allow us to see His glory. And this veil is removed in Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. To reveal the Glory of the Father and Son to you.

Knock on the Word! Stay with it. It is not enough to read it like any other book. Pray for it, as you read and study, ask to see the Light, the glory in the word. As you continue in the word, and the glory will burst forth and you will be transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor.

May you behold His glory.

May we behold His glory afresh at the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference.

Don’t be left out, God is about to do something glorious at the
2019 World Agents of Change Conference coming up in the next 10 days in Abuja.
