“I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory”
Praise God! Sing to the LORD, because he has won a glorious victory; he has thrown the horses and their riders into the sea. Exo 15:1-21
“Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord:
“I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! The Lord is a warrior;…..” Exodus 15:1-21 NLT
Today is the last day of our 21 days of Prayer and Fasting.
Let us sing praises to our God in advance today for the great Victories He has won for us concerning the Christian Teachers Summit and the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference.
Our God is indeed a mighty man in battle.. He is worthy of our praise. Give Him all the Glory in advance for that which He is set to do in our midst starting from today until the end of the Conference.
Praise Him for He has heard all our prayers and supplications, give Him glory for He is worthy!
Thank God in advance for the great and mighty things that He will do at the 2019 conference. 2 Chron 20:16-30
Today we are thanking God in advance for all the mighty things He will do at the 2019 Conference. We are giving glory to Him because we are fully persuaded that God will do that which He has promised to do. (Rom 4:21).
We have confidence that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Eph 3:20).
While we look forward with expectation to having a wonderful weekend with Him at the Hosanna House Christian Foundation, Let’s spend some time today reflecting on some of the things we meditated upon in this period of Fasting and Prayer .
These new people will carry nothing but His Spirit and depend absolutely on Him, as there is no substitute for the Power of the Holy Ghost. Not eloquence, not technology, not knowledge, not organization, not systems, methods and procedures. Their passion and commitment to God, His Word and Prayer will be strong. They will discover the deep things of God. They will behold His glory and will reveal it to their Generation.
I encourage you to pray today and ask that God will indeed do a new thing in your life and give you an undeniable testimony during the conference, as you look to Him in faith for grace to be there!
Pray for divine protection and journey mercies for everyone who will be travelling to attend the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference and the Christian Teachers Summit. Pray that God will bring everyone to the conference safely.
‘On the twelfth day of the first month we set
out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and
he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way. So we arrived in
Jerusalem, where we rested three days.’ – Ezra 8:31-32
We all, like the Psalmist should be glad when asked to go into the house of the Lord.
However, travel by whatever means can be a risky endeavor. Ask the children of Israel, They left Egypt with great Joy but soon encounterd the red sea, Then Egypt’s army came after them next. They had to journey through enemy territories, but they eventually got to the Promised Land because God was with them.
Ezra also testified that they arrived in Jerusalem thanks to the same reason we meditated on yesterday: the hand of God was on them. That is our prayer. As brethren travel from various places to the WAOCC Abuja 2019, pray that the hand of God would be on everyone.
Ezra said they were protected from enemies and bandits along the way by God himself. Let us pray that God Himself will protect all our participants as they travel. We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy, but with God’s presence and His hand upon us, safety is assured.
Moses knew this when he prayed: “if your presence would not go with us, then don’t take us up from this place.” Cry to God for his presence in all our travels to and from this year’s conference.
The presence and the hand of God on anyone always ends with a testimony. Ezra said “so we arrived in Jerusalem, where we rested three days.” That too should be your cry for this conference.
Pray that you will not travel for the sake of travelling. Pray that as God brings you to Abuja safely, He would grant you permanent rest from all your troubles and struggles. Let the journey to this year’s conference mark a turning point in your life and leave you with a testimony of rest.
Don’t let up. Cry out! Cry that you will enter into your own rest. All our journeys should end with a rest. Pray that your travels for this conference will end with you entering not just a three-day rest like Ezra, but an everlasting rest, now and always.
“Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Oh Lord, bless us indeed at the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference and Enlarge our Coast.
‘Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.’
1 Chron. 4:10
The mother of Jabez had so named him because she “gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez however, didn’t allow the circumstances of his birth to shape his life. He “cried out to the God of Israel.” This is what we have been doing for the past few days leading up to this year’s conference.
Cry out! Don’t hold back. Cry out to the God of Israel.
There are four things that Jabez cried out for in his short
but life-changing prayer:
“Oh, that thou wouldest bless me indeed.”
Make that the cry of your heart as well, that God would bless us indeed at this conference. God himself has said, “In blessing, I will bless thee.” This cry is in line with His promise. In fact, in Christ, He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. Our prayer is only to appropriate those blessings.
“Enlarge my territory.”
That should be your prayer too, that we would be set free from small-mindedness, as an individual Agent of Change and all of us as a body. Many times the scope of God’s grace upon our lives is large, but our hearts are small and thus we limit God’s move. The stone that was cut out without a hand in the book of Daniel enlarged and filled everywhere. God’s vision is to fill everywhere with His glory like the waters cover the sea. Trust God to enlarge our territories and grant us large hearts to occupy them.
“Let your hand be with me.”
The hand of God is figurative of God’s power. As a matter of fact, even the finger of God is full of power, as was revealed from the working of miraculous signs in Egypt, to delivering the Israelites and to writing the Ten Commandments. Jabez didn’t ask for a finger, he asked for a hand. What a large heart. The blessings we seek at this conference, and the enlargement of our coasts will happen by the hand of God. May we cry for his hand to be upon us.
“And keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”
Like Jabez, we will not be ignorant of the devices of our enemy. He delights in bringing upon us the chief evil of sin and its consequent pain. Pray that as God enlarges us, He would keep us from harm and pain in all forms.
The blessedness of this story is in its conclusion:
‘And God granted his request.’
That is the confidence we also have in Him, that whatsoever we ask in accordance with His will, He grants. We trust that this and indeed all our prayers for this conference and beyond will also be granted by our God. We will be blessed indeed and our coasts will be enlarged.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD
As we gather in Abuja on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th of January 2019 for the World Agents of Change Conference, pray that God will give each participant a new song. Psalm 126:1-3 , 40:1-3.
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3
God answers prayer.
When we wait on Him, He inclines to us, He answers our prayer. He has not called us to seek Him in vain and we can rest in this blessed assurance.
In the verses above we again see God’s plan for salvation. He saves us in order to give us a new song. And why? So that many shall see it, and shall trust in the Lord also as their Lord and personal saviour.
In this conference, everyone that is in the horrible pit and miry clay of sin and bondage will be lifted out by the Lord. There shall be deliverance. There shall be help in Zion, as we have cried to Him. He will visit us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
But God will not stop there. He set our feet on the rock, even Christ and will establish our feet in our walk and relationship with Him.
Are you struggling in your Christian walk? Are you struggling to stand? Are you constantly falling and rising? Are you faltering upon the mount.
Here is another blessed consolation. All this will end! He will set your feet upon Christ. He will establish you from now and even unto the end.
Finally, this work of grace will not end here, God will put a new song in your mouth, He will give you a message, He will send you to the nations. He will anoint you by His spirit and through your life and testimony, many shall put their trust in the Lord.
God who has called you will not leave you, until He has accomplished everything He has said concerning you.
Come to the 2019 WAOCC with great expectation, Come expecting to encounter Jesus. Come with an open heart. This is the hour of your visitation. God will give you a new song.
Let nothing or no one stop you from attending this conference. We have His word and His promise. He will do a new thing, He will give new beginnings, He will give you a new song.
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Father, Let the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference mark a new beginning for us. Oh Lord, do a new thing in our lives and in our midst at this 10th edition of the conference. Isa 43:16-19
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?
We all long for it. New experiences are a fundamental human need. Even Psychologist’s have identified it as a necessity for mental growth and as an essential requirement for the mind’s development just as food is to the body.
When we become born again, we become new. But this is the beginning of the ‘new beginnings’
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor 5:17
God makes us entirely new at regeneration. He makes all things new. He gives us a new heart, a new spirit, a new vision, new purpose for life, and a new hope and future.
After experiencing salvation which is the first and fundamental step to a new beginning, it sets us on track to realise our purpose and potential, as well as meeting our deep-seated needs, God by His spirit grants us, again and again, waves of new beginnings.
God’s intention is for us to remain fresh in Him, and He renews us day by day, by giving us fresh and dynamic experiences and encounters with His Word and His Spirit as we seek Him.
We need to know also that each new beginning advances us in the purpose of God, and it opens new doors to the treasures God has in store for us. It makes us see another dimension of God and brings us to new depths of faith and conviction in His service.
Finally, new Beginnings are like fresh waters, – “Behold, It shall spring forth” – that God brings forth in us and through us.
Each new beginning bursts with a freshness that has never been, each burst oozing life and vitality like the oasis in the desert that revives, and brings a new lease of life, welling up to eternal life.
For us, every World Agent of Change Conference has been a new beginning. Every conference has brought and shown us a dimension of God we had never seen or known before. Every Conference has advanced us in increasing measure into the deeper experience of Jesus Christ with His Word and Power.
And this year again, we are longing for a fresh new experience from God at the conference, an experience we have never known before. One that…no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived” One that will change our lives permanently and take us into the next level of God’s plan and purpose for our lives.
As we prepare for the maiden edition of the Agents of Change Christian Teachers Summit as well as the 10th edition of the World Agents of Change Conference, pray that God will go ahead of us and make every crooked path straight. Pray that God will fight for us and grant us victory on every side. Isaiah 45:2-3
This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. Isaiah 45:1-3
Yesterday we reflected on the fact that we need faith for our journey, to be able to overcome and resist every plan of the devil aimed at hindering us on our way. And we pointed out a few things that God expects us to do on our part.
Today, we see from our text, that God Himself is committed to making a way for us to do His will and fulfil His purpose like He did for King Cyrus.
So as we approach the Maiden edition of the Christian Teachers Summit and 10th edition of our annual conference, Let’s be assured that we have the Almighty God on our side, we have His word and His presence with us, to uphold and support us against every obstacle, challenge and opposition on our way as we set out to do His will. He will go before us and make crooked paths straight.
Who can stand in His way? He will strip kings of their armor for our sake, open shut doors, level mountains, break down gates of bronze, cut through bars of iron, and give us every resource we need for the sake of His name and His son Jesus.
When the Children of Israel were on their journey to the promised land, and they were edged between Pharoah, His Hosts and the Red Sea. God made a way! He parted the Red Sea, the Israelites passed through on dry land! Pharaoh and His Army were drowned!
Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:16-19 King KJV
No matter how tight and difficult our situation is, God will always make and clear the way! He melts obstacles and defeats oppositions.
Indeed, nothing can stand in our way! No man, no devil, no circumstance and no situation can limit or hinder us. We are unstoppable because of the most high, the way maker, the miracle worker.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt. 29:18-20
Nothing can be more assuring than this, He has not only given us power and authority to deal with obstacles and oppositions but assures us personally of His presence as we go along. What a glorious thing.
Let us rise up today and shout for joy! If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? … we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Rom 8:31-32, 37.
Pray against any form of hindrance for everyone who desires to be in attendance. Pray that God in His mercies will make a way for all who wish to be at the conference. Rev 3:8-13
Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us. I Thess 2:18
I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, how often I planned to come to you (but have been prevented from visiting until now), in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles. Rom 1:13
What a thing! satan hindered the Apostle Paul once and again from visiting the Saints. This teaches us a lesson, that we need to rise in prayer and ask God to clear the way for us, otherwise satan may hinder us from taking a journey or from fulfilling a certain task or assignment.
Satan always tries to hinder us in our walk and work with God. Although, he hindered Apostle Paul once or twice, He could not always hinder him because our God, the mighty man in battle is always with us. Hallelujah! The Apostle Paul succeeded overall. He ran His course and completed His assignment. 2 Tim 4:7
God’s word teaches us these things that we may have hope and find encouragement as we patiently wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled. Rom 15:4 (NIV)
Now, these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age. 1 Cor 10:11
So what is the instruction here? The instruction is that as you prepare also pray that satan will not hinder you. Don’t be ignorant of his devices, because if you don’t prepare and pray, if you don’t pay attention and you become unaware of His devices (So as to pray against them, and resist them steadfastly by faith in God and prayers) he may hinder you.
You need to have a strong faith in God to succeed in the journey of life, and indeed in every venture whether small or great.
This is one of the reasons why we take time out to pray and fast before the World Agents of Change conference and at the beginning of the year so that satan does not succeed in his attempts to hinder us in any way from fulfilling all that God has asked us to do.
Satan can attempt to use different means or situations to hinder us, for example, he can use fear or threats, or even people who will stand in our way. He may attempt to stop our financial provision, or he may cause an emergency situation for us, or literally block the road in every way possible.
But irrespective of the way he chooses to come, satan will not succeed if we wake up from our slumber and arise! We can win every time. Whatever you do, please do not fail to pray against the wiles of the devil as you prepare. The Bible tells us to;
Watch and Pray Mark 13:33.
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith I Pet 5:8-9
Not to allow satan to outsmart or outwit you “…for we are not unaware of his schemes.” 2 Cor 2:11.
Be humble and submit our selves to God, resist the devil (one way to do this is by fasting and prayer), and… “Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper”. Jas 4:7.
Clearly if we fail to do any or all of these, the devil may succeed in hindering us!
Rise up now and pray! do all you can to ensure that the devil does not hinder you from attending the 2019 WAOCC, make sure he doesn’t hinder you in any way from doing what God wants you to do this year!
Pray for us also, pray for the conference, pray particularly for participants coming from outside Abuja that they will not be hindered by satan in any way, that satan will not hinder them from attending the conference. That the Lord will grant them safe journey.
Pray for diverse testimonies and personal encounters with God for all participants at the 2019 World Agents of Change Conference. Pray that God will do a definite work in the life of everyone who will be in attendance. John 9:1-38
“Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” Some claimed that he was. Others said, “No, he only looks like him.” But he himself insisted, “I am the man.” John 9: 7-9
We have said it in previous meditations that when the Lord Jesus encounters a man that man cannot remain the same again.
This is what we are believing God for in this year’s conference: that He will give us a tangible testimony, an undeniable testimony that will make people wonder if we are the same persons they once knew.
The level or condition of a man before he encounters Christ does not matter, the result of such an encounter is a real, tangible and undeniable testimony.
God can turn every situation around. He can heal sicknesses and diseases that men consider incurable, He can mend broken hearts, He breaks yokes of sin and addictions, He can raise the dead to life, He makes dry bones to live again, He can change the leper’s spot, turn sinners into saints. There is nothing that our God cannot do, there is no limit to what He can do!
Sometimes, our challenges and situations are meant to bring glory to God and to honour His Son Jesus as in the case of this man who was born blind. Even when the Pharisees wanted to discountenance what God had done in His life, It was undeniable. The miracle was so real, and his testimony was undeniable, He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
God will do such a life changing and destiny transforming miracle in our lives at this years conference and in 2019 by the power of His Spirit in Jesus mighty name.
We encourage you to come expecting an encounter with Jesus! Come with an open heart! And yield yourself to Him. He remains the same yesterday, today and forever more!
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. John 9:35-38.
Finally, we must always know that the purpose of miracles and God’s intervention in our lives is to reveal His Son to us, so that we can worship Him. Any miracle or encounter that does not bring you into a deeper revelation of the Son of God, and an increased level of reverence and worship is a wasted opportunity.
Pray today and say, Lord, encounter me this year, do something new in my life, put a new song in my mouth, reveal your Son to me and in me, give me an undeniable testimony that everyone will see and put their trust in you.
